There was a great tradition in baroque Mexico, some of which came straight north to the missions in San Antonio, to Santa Fe, and especially to California.
Join us on Sunday night, December 6, at 6pm, in the splendid setting of Christ the King Catholic Church to hear what that music sounded like, the music that dramatized the Catholic liturgy in Mexico, and points further south, as well as what was heard in the Court of Madrid in 1752.
