Se solicitan voluntarias bilingues

Dallas Children's Advocacy Center provides therapy to abused and neglected children. DCAC is seeking bilingual volunteers to serve as Family Advocates to non-abusive parents/caregivers by linking families with community resources, calling clients to remind about therapy appointments, helping victims apply for Crime Victims’ Compensation benefits, and assist in other projects as needed. Client contacts is by phone or in person. Moderate to heavy data entry, especially in the fall, during our annual Adopt-a-Family Holiday Program (lifting gifts up to 25 lbs is required). On the job training is provided.

Volunteers must pass police and CPS background checks before they can begin volunteering (around 3 weeks to verify). Prefer applicants who have a human services background or are enrolled in a human services degree (social work, counseling,criminal justice, family studies).
