Top 10 Ways You & Your Family Can Enjoy The Women's Museum This Summer!

Why 10? We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary!

  1. Visit The Women’s Museum with FREE admission the 10th of each month in honor of our 10 year anniversary.
  2. Come enjoy the fireworks in the park onFourth of July and visit the Freedom’s Sisters exhibit on the last day of its run The Women’s Museum.
  3. Bring the entire family and join a Cake Decorating class on June 19.
  4. Grab a scavenger hunt and search for women history’s clues with a groups friends. Just ask for the scavenger hunt at the front desk when you arrive.
  5. Go Green! Ride the DART rail to The Women’s Museum in Fair Park. Picnic in the park and visit the museums!
  6. Starting July 23, learn all about women in flight at our Dreams of Flight exhibit, including a flight simulator for the kids.
  7. Sign up for the Texas Girls’ State Fair. Girls age 10-18 have the opportunity to win a $500 Educational Award and showcase their talents during the State Fair of Texas.
  8. Catch a show in the AT&T Auditorium, Dallas Puppet Theatre’s Br’er Rabbit & Friends in June and Rapunzel in August!Click here for the performance schedule.
  9. Come to the Taste of Dallas in Fair Parkand visit The Women’s Museum while you are at the park.
  10. While at the Museum, visit the Museum Store and pick up a new beach bag to complete your summer look!

The Texas Girls’ State Fair began in 2005 and became a growing tradition for The Women’s Museum and girls in Texas. The Texas Girls' State Fair is a program to honor, recognize and showcase the achievements and interests of Texas girls from ages 10-18 in this spectacular and unique revue. Each girl chosen will have the opportunity to show her talent at The Women’s Museum during the State Fair of Texas.

Three girls will be chosen to receive a $500 Education Award. Check out the 2009 finalistshere.
