Latin American Music Festival en TCU

Since 1998 the Center for Latin American Music at TCU has hosted the Latin American Music Festival. The 2009 Festival promises to be an exciting event.

Fort Worth Symphony's conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya and his "Caminos del Inka" project joined forces with the Festival this year featuring four different programs. The first 3 recitals presented at TCU followed by 3 concerts at the Bass Performance Hall.

The celebration will include:
- A traditional tiple, guitar, and bandola trio from Colombia,
- Maria Luisa Harth-Bedoya, the renowned Peruvian guitarist,
- Composer and conductor Arturo Rodriguez from Mexico,
- Tamborimba, a percussion group from Colombia,
- The tenor David Guzman from Colombia,
- Electronic Music chamber groups from TCU. Dr. Gerald Gable, director
- The TCU Wind Symphony. Mr. Bobby Francis, director
- TCU Percussion Ensembles. Dr. Brian West, director

The festivities would not be complete without theTCU Symphony Orchestra conducted by, the man behind the Festival, Dr. Germán Gutiérrez.
